Make certain the gauge is properly seated on a level surface. Loosen the set screw and adjust the height of the slider up and down. Place the tip of the scriber on the point you want to measure and tighten the set screw to fix the slider. Measure the height using the measurement line. You can scribe with the tip of the scriber.
