705371 1:350 DKM H Class Battleship
ALL NEW TOOLING!
In 1939 the German Supreme Command
authorized the code-named "Z" large-scale shipbuilding
program, "Z plan". The H class was a series of battleships designed for German’s Kriegsmarine. They were supposed to fill requirements of a 10-year Nazi Z plan during the late 1930s and early 1940s to create the most powerful navy on the sea. Z Plan had at its core two large battleships, one of which is Bismarck class battleship, the other is level: H-class battleship.
The first variation, “H-39” included six ships with 16” guns and diesel propulsion. Due to the outbreak of WWII in September 1939, none of the ships were ever completed. Only the first two of the “H-39” were laid down. Work was halted and eventually in 1941 the assembled steel was scrapped and used for other purposes.
