Serving the United States Air Force from the 1960s through the 1980s, the Con vair F-106 Delta Dart was con sidered one of the best interceptors in the history of the US Air Force. They served as the primary all-wea the r interceptoraircraft of the Air Force and the Air Nation al Guard for more than 29 years. Theywere themain "dancing partner" of the Russian Tu-95 Bear tacticalbombers. The Delta Dart was developedfrom the Con vair F-102 Delta Dagger.
