The Su-24 tactical Bomber was designed by Sukhoi OKB. It`s anall-wea the r, low-level attack aircraft which known by the NATO codename'Fencer'. The aircraft has a convention al aerodynamic configuration with avariable-sweep shoulder wing, side-mounted intakes and two-seatcockpit. The first production aircraft flew on 31 December 1971. The totalproduction of the Su-24 was about 1,400 planes and the aircraft is in servicewith the Russian Air Force and Navy, and the air forces of Azerbaijan, Algeria,Belarus, Kazakhstan, Libya, Syria and Ukraine. The Su-24M is the upgradeversion of the Fencer-B/C, the prototype is the T-6M-8 which took the first on 29 June 1977. The production Su-24M were accepted into service in 1983. The new Su-24M Fencer-D is 0.76m longer than the for mer version s, thereshaped shorterradome was added and a series of new equipments were applied such as the Kaira-24 laser designator/TV system which offer the aircraft the ability ofcarring the laser/TV guided weapon s.
