Model Rectifier Corporation, it’s Team Academy drivers and many nationwide competitors challenged Academy to produce a new, technologically advanced R/C touring car. Not just with out-of-the-box capability of podium finishes, but also a competitive price. Academy took the challenge, met the challenge and delivered!

Academy’s STR-4 Pro II is an electric, competition level, shaft-driven, 4WD touring car kit. Its ultra-low CG ensures the smoothest handling response. The feature list is impressive: 2.5mm carbon fiber chassis; 2mm carbon one-piece upper deck; a 23 ball bearing set; front and rear ball differentials; light and strong carbon shaft-driven system; and front and rear universal shafts and the dynamic “Torque Limit” front one-way differential that dramatically improves cornering under braking. Other pro level items were needed too in order to meet the challenges; so Academy included purple anodized semi-cam type, aluminum motor mount & motor heat-sink; teflon coated, aluminum, oil filled, threaded shock bodies and the kit also includes a new motor & two-way battery location system, so the batteries can be positioned on the main chassis as needed. This capability allows drivers to balance the STR-4 Pro II depending on specific track layout. The motor mounts directly to a beautifully machined, anodized, adjustable aluminum mount. Additionally, Academy has given more decisions back to the driver by adding motor spur gear options and hop-up parts and accessories. Body & electronics not included.
