Prodigy Advantages Prodigy is unlike other DCC systems. It is compatible with other DCC systems but uses a different approach to DCC. MRC engineers created a system that is easy to use and enjoy, yet advanced enough to give most modelers all of the desired features to make their layouts come alive. Operating multiple locos on the layout has never been easier. Our handhelds are clearly labeled and color-coded. You can simply dial up the loco you want on our handheld and move the throttle. It is just that simple. If you want to change direction simply press the appropriate ?direction? button and the loco will proceed in the opposite direction. Want to turn on your loco?s lights? Push the ?light? button and the loco lights come on, whether or not it is moving or sitting idle. Need to run a consist? Simply push the ?consist setting? button and then select each loco you want to put in the consist by pushing the ?add to consist? button. Easy? You bet. While you are building a consist, others can continue to run other trains. Programming (simply giving an address number and pre set conditions to each loco on your roster) couldn?t be simpler. Place any decoder equipped loco on a track, select the address you want to assign to the loco and hit the ?address? button. You are done. Want to add in a little momentum? Dial in the amount you want, hit the ?momentum? button and you?re done. Easy, you bet! That's the MRC Prodigy system.
